dhc and Tenity launch pioneering incubator for digital health startups

January 9, 2024

The digital health center bülach (dhc) and Tenity are launching a pioneering incubator in collaboration with Zürcher Kantonalbank.

Starting in the summer of 2024, the digital health center bülach (dhc), in close cooperation with Tenity, will initiate an incubation program for start-ups in the digital health sector. Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) supports the implementation as a founding partner, both financially and with targeted knowledge over a period of five years. With ZKB's contribution, ten cohorts are assured until the end of 2028. The incubation program is designed to support start-ups in the early stages of development, with the goal of optimally preparing them for and successfully concluding their first round of financing.

The four-month program follows a proven process that has already been successfully implemented countless times. It offers a wide range of support options to selected start-ups from both Switzerland and abroad. Innovative young companies will be specifically supported and accompanied by experts from the healthcare sector. There will be close collaboration with representatives of service providers, industry, research, and an international network of active investors. The start-ups will also benefit from dedicated "Masterclasses," access to an extensive network, and the Swiss health care market, attractive program incentives, and workspaces in the offices of the dhc. Detailed planning of the program will begin in January 2024. Further information will follow.

The cooperation between the dhc, Tenity, and ZKB marks a significant milestone in the Swiss healthcare system. With the support of around 30 start-ups annually, a consortium with impacts beyond the national borders is emerging in the canton of Zurich and Switzerland.
